What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They often include an identifier, expiration date, and information about the site that set them. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels (tiny images used with a request), and scripts that store preferences.

First-party technologies are set by the site you are visiting. Third-party technologies are set by another domain, such as an embedded video or analytics provider. We limit third-party scripts and only load optional categories after you consent where required.

Why we bother explaining this

Small files and storage keys are invisible by default. Transparency helps you decide what you are comfortable with—especially for optional analytics or marketing measurement that is not required to read an article or send a contact form.

Consent at a glance

When you first visit, you should see a banner with clear choices. “Strictly necessary” technologies load regardless because they keep the site safe and remember your cookie decision itself.

Visit → Banner → Your choice → Saved prefs

You can reopen preferences anytime via “Cookie Settings” on the banner (when visible) or equivalent control if we surface one in the footer later.

Who sets cookies on this site

We set first-party cookies and storage entries needed for security, session continuity, and remembering your cookie choices. When you enable analytics or marketing, additional tags may load from our vendors; those vendors are instructed to process data in line with our agreements and applicable law.

First-party

Set by vibeyoung.ddd. Typically includes consent state, session identifiers, and security tokens.

Third-party

Set by another domain when you allow optional categories—e.g., analytics or ad measurement scripts.

Typical lifecycle

  1. Arrival: The site checks whether a consent record exists in storage.
  2. Decision: You accept all, reject optional categories, or open granular settings.
  3. Execution: Only the allowed tags load on subsequent pages during that browser session and future visits until you clear data or change preferences.
  4. Expiry: Individual cookies expire based on their max-age; the summary table gives representative ranges.

Clearing “all cookies” in your browser also removes your consent record—you may see the banner again. That is expected behavior, not a bug.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for core functions such as load balancing, security, remembering cookie consent state, and form submission integrity. These cannot be switched off through our banner without breaking essential features.

Analytics and performance

Optional. Helps us understand aggregate traffic, navigation paths, and approximate device or region data. We use this to improve content structure and performance. Enabled only if you consent.

Marketing and measurement

Optional. May include conversion measurement or audience insights for campaigns we run. Enabled only if you consent.

Representative summary

The exact names and lifetimes of cookies may change as we update software. The table below illustrates typical purposes and durations at a high level.

Category Purpose Typical duration
Necessary Security, consent storage, basic session Session to twelve months
Analytics Aggregated usage and performance Up to twenty-four months
Marketing Campaign measurement Up to thirteen months

Local storage and consent records

We store your cookie preference selections in browser local storage under a site-specific key so your choices persist between visits. If you clear site data or use a different browser or device, you may see the banner again.

You can open Cookie Settings from the banner at any time to review or change optional categories.

How to manage preferences

Use the “Accept All”, “Reject”, or “Cookie Settings” buttons in our banner to set your baseline. Rejecting optional categories disables analytics and marketing tags that depend on consent. You can also configure cookies through your browser or operating system privacy settings.

Blocking all cookies may interfere with login flows or preference storage. If something stops working after you change settings, try allowing first-party cookies for vibeyoung.world only.

Our banner

  • Category-level toggles where offered
  • Remembers choice in local storage
  • Best for matching legal consent rules

Browser settings

  • Global block or per-site rules
  • May block necessary cookies too
  • Useful for advanced users

“Do Not Track” and global opt-outs

Some browsers expose a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no uniform legal requirement that all websites honor DNT. We prioritize the explicit choices you make in our cookie banner and applicable opt-out mechanisms for regulated “sale” or “sharing” where those concepts apply.

Industry opt-out tools for interest-based advertising (for example, the Digital Advertising Alliance or similar programs) operate independently. Follow their instructions if you want to set a broad ad preference signal across participating companies.

Browser documentation

Instructions vary by version. Refer to your browser’s help center for the most accurate steps. Common starting points include Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge settings menus under Privacy or Cookies.

  • Look for “Cookies and site data” or “Tracking protection”.
  • Consider “block third-party cookies” if you want stricter defaults while allowing first-party essentials.
  • Use private or incognito windows for one-off browsing without writing long-lived cookies.

Updates

We may revise this Cookie Policy when we add tools, change vendors, or adapt to legal requirements. The updated version will appear on this page with a new date.

If we introduce a new optional category that did not exist when you first consented, we may ask you to confirm your preferences again so we never stretch an old click into permission for a new technology.

Bookmark this page if you want to compare versions over time. Glance at the date line under the hero whenever you revisit so you know you are reading the latest published text.
